Ministry InstructionsThe Catechism of the Catholic Church tells us that, “Adoration is the first attitude of man acknowledging that he is a creature before his Creator. It exalts the greatness of the Lord who made us and the almighty power of the Savior who sets us free from evil. Adoration is homage of the spirit to the “King of Glory,” respectful silence in the presence of the “ever greater” God. Adoration of the thrice-holy and sovereign God of love blends with humility and gives assurance to our supplications.” (CCC 2628) Eucharistic Adoration is an extended period of prayer with Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament.
Regular weekly adoration times can be found on the Mass/Confession/Adoration page of this website.
Family Adoration is held on Tuesdays at St. Joseph from 9:30 - 10:30 am. This is a self guided time spent in personal prayer and reflection. This hour is open to all but available as an opportunity for families with young children to come and spend time with our Lord without the need for total silence or finding childcare. You can attend for the whole hour or come and go as you need.

Come learn about Catholicism in a relaxed environment at Tailspin on select Thursday evenings throughout the school year. Grab a friend and a few craft beers, then gather in the loft for a speaker on a current and relevant topic. The presenter could be a priest, nun, or a lay person, and topics range from the Sacraments to Saints, Faith and Science, prayer and virtue, how to “live” the faith, and more! Don’t miss the Blessing of the Beer to kick things off at 7:30 pm.

Faith Fueled Fridays are speaking events held approximately quarterly, depending on events. The speakers focus their talks to couples of non-adult children, however all are invited to “Fuel their Faith.” Our goal is to help strengthen and deepen the faith of the young family (and anyone who attends). One of our other goals is to periodically have a national speaker come in as well. Free drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic provided). It’s a nice evening to grow in faith and socialize with other parents. We run 100% off of donations, so anyone who would like to donate can make checks payable to Faith Fueled Fridays and mail to the Fort Recovery office. For more information call/text Sarah Kahlig (419-234-3152), or you can fill out the online request form at the bottom of this page.
