On behalf of the Holy Cross Family of Parishes, we wish to express to the family and friends of the deceased our sincere condolences. The following information is provided to assist those who will be planning the funeral liturgy.

1

Contact your chosen funeral home

They will assist you with the planning and arrangements of the viewing and burial site. Give the funeral director instructions on whether the person who has died is to be buried or cremated.

2

Funeral home will contact Holy Cross Family of Parishes

The parish office/ bereavement ministry will establish your preferred parish for the funeral liturgy, the cemetery for burial, and determine the priest who will preside. A date and time of the service will be established.

3

A member of the bereavement ministry will contact you

We will contact you to set a time for a personal meeting, along with the priest, to plan the funeral liturgy. The Funeral Planning Guide will be used to guide the selection of Scripture readings and music, as well as other details.

At any time during this funeral planning process, you are welcome to contact the bereavement minister to ask questions and/or share your concerns. It is the goal of the Bereavement Ministry to assist you in any way possible. Be assured of our prayers for you and your loved ones.
